Okay, we have these photos of motorcycles crashing through a barrier of fluorescent lightbulbs, and hurtling into flames, and we’re told in the caption that this is an exhibition “organized to attract more youths into the army.”

Huh? What? If this particular army considers these to be the glamor jobs, then you have to ask yourself what sort of lousy positions they’re hiding.

I mean, if I were a recruiter, I would think a desire to sit astride a big metal tank full of gas as it penetrates an inferno would be a pretty good litmus test for weeding out the bad seeds.

“Uh, just out of curiosity there, Jimmy, since you were attracted by our little show, can you tell me what it would take to put you off enlisting? What if we put you in, say, the gyrocopter patrol?”
